There’s a Creative and Living
Unity Among Citizens of Good Will
Carlos Cardoso Aveline
“.... The mysterious power of thought […] enables it to produce
external, perceptible, phenomenal results by its own inherent energy.”
Helena Blavatsky [1]
One can see in the next paragraphs a way of celebrating the transcendent unity of the modern esoteric movement, and of making it easier to fulfil its collective duty.
1) Sit in an upright posture and relax. Adopt a calm, deeper breathing. Leave aside thoughts about short term or personal matters.
2)Remember William Q. Judge’s article [2]: the theosophical movement is ethical, universal, essentially invisible, and continuous in time. Organized associations, on the other hand, face changes and are born again from time to time, according to the Law of Karma. Visualize the theosophical groups and associations free from hypocrisy and from whited sepulchres or pseudo-esotericism, and having developed already the necessary amount of discernment between right and wrong.
3) Life emerges from within and renews itself. Look at the theosophical movement as it fulfils its duty and gives elements for citizens of goodwill around the world to consciously learn lessons from the obstacles they face. Imagine wisdom, sincerity and solidarity permeating social relations in every continent. Observe the esoteric associations as they actively help the process.
4) See humanity awakening to the unlimited power of mutual help. Keep before your mind’s eye, for an instant, the image of every human community rising to the brotherly solution of its problems.
5) Look at the esoteric movement playing its role in a global civilization based on the principles of self-responsibility, altruism and mutual help.
6)Strengthen your personal commitment to this vision. You are responsible for it. The theosophical effort and mankind are like Pascal’s circle, whose center is in the heart of every citizen; and whose circumference is limited by no outward or visible structure.
7)Visualize for a few seconds the students of Theosophy sharing the soul-centered process of a global reawakening to the ethics of universal brotherhood. Keep this image with yourself. Preserve it in your mind and heart. Share the news with friends, family and colleagues.
Om, Shanti.
